Chilliwack and area population among the fastes growing in BC. The city of almost 90,000 people, is located to the East of Vancouver and is nestled in the arms of the Upper Fraser Valley with Fraser River to the North and Vedder River to the South of the city. Chilliwack Real Estate is comprised of the usual selection of attached homes, detached homes, condos, apartments and luxury homes but because of the agricultural heritage of the area there are also a lot of converted grain silos coming onto the market. A converted grain silo may not sound like the most appealing option for a Real Estate deal in Chilliwack but we would suggest that you reserve judgements until you see them and value they offer. In terms of overall property prices, a standard single family detached house for sale in Chilliwack start at the $350,000 price point which is primarily land value.  More liveable and enjoyable properties  start in the mid-high $400,000 range. 

Economic Horizons The primary industry in Chilliwack is agriculture and agri-related industries but the city also has a strong manufacturing base. The location of this city proves to be favorable for tourist with tourism being a large part of the local economic make-up.

Getting In And Out Of the City Relocating to Chilliwack means that you'll have no problems getting to or from the city by air with the city served Chilliwack Airport and Abbotsford International Airport nearby. In terms of ground-based, there is a Greyhound Canada stop and the Chilliwack/Agassiz-Harrison Transit System which has 12 different routes servicing both, the downtown area and the suburbs. The Trans-Canada Highway also runs through Chilliwack connecting it to the rest of Pacific Northwest.
